ZettleFood & Drink is a specialist POS vendor for the food and drink industry, pairing with the Zettle Reader 2 and offering a range of POS accessories to create full systems. The service has been made available in partnership with Zettle and PayPal. It is a modern-day set-up, meaning that their products are geared towards smartphone and tablet usage, with Android and Apple compatibility across the board. The card reader accepts payment from all major debit cards, as well as Android, Apple and Samsung payment apps. Payments can be made by chip and PIN or contactless (NFC) for all their products.

Hardware
Zettle offers pairing with the Zettle Reader 2 and works alongside the iPad-optimised Food & Drink POS app. Sales receipts and and reprints can be sent to an assigned, paired printer. Zettle offers compatibility and standalone or packaged purchases with the Star range of accessories, including wired and Bluetooth receipt printers, the mPOP printer / cash drawer and also offers a barcode scanner for iOS interface only.
Accepted cards
Zettle accepts MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Maestro, V pay, Visa Electron, JCB, Diners Club, China Union Pay, Discover and Apple Pay, Google Pay and NFC phone payment.
Data security
Zettle adhere to PCI PTS 4.1 and the hardware and software are designed to be tamperproof. If any tampering is detected, the card reader self-destructs. Credit card information is fully encrypted.
Support
For support, there are a range of videos and tutorials on the site. There is an online form for support queries out of hours, or a phone line for office hours, with extended hours for subscribers to the Pro service 8am-8pm or 9am-6pm at weekends). The Zettle reader 2 comes with a lifetime warranty, so you always have access to maintenance support if you need it.
Costs and fees
Zettle charge £29 per month per iPad for the Food & Drink POS app, and a one-off fee of £29 for the Zettle 2 card reader. Invoice payments and payment link fees are charged at 2.5%, and software integration and VIP telephone support are available at no cost.
